GPS update interval

The GPS interval is how often Locate My Freight expects a new ping while a load is being tracked. A longer interval saves battery and data. A shorter interval keeps the map and ETA closer to the truck.

Interval only matters after tracking is actually running. If location permission is off, the driver never opened the load, or the load status is not allowed for GPS, changing the interval will not draw a marker.

1. Set the interval your operation can live with (tighter for live customer ETAs, looser for a simple in-transit trail).
2. Keep the load in a status that allows tracking. An invalid tracking state usually means status, not interval.
3. Ask the driver to keep data on. No cell connection means no ping, no matter how short the interval is.

Phone tracking and hardware tracking both show up on the same dashboard. Interval does not replace an OBD-II or Oyster unit when the asset itself must report. Read GPS hardware and how load tracking works.
